Beside making food delicious, and our bodies free of infections, inflammations and other problems it’s believed there are more than 14,000 uses for salt, and our great-grandmothers were probably familiar with most of them. A number of these uses were for simple things around the home and as medicine, before the advent of modern chemical drugs and toxic cleaners. Most of these salt uses are still valid today and can be much cheaper and more environmentally-friendly than more ‘sophisticated’ toxic products. I can make no guarantee about the results if you try any of these uses and tips, but there must be something to them since they have been handed down over the decades, centuries and millenniums in many households.
